In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we have organized a special Market Day to recognize and support our Indigenous community!
Join us next Saturday, September 30th, for a drum ceremony, live music, local artists, and community organizations. We’ll start the day at 9 am with a land acknowledgment, followed by a moment of reflection and a cultural drum opening ceremony. Our live performances start at 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM, with live music by Amanda Gendron, Lena Daniels, and Mary Stinchcombe. Plus, amazing artists from I AM Collective will be set up throughout rows nine and ten, and the Strong Woman Journey organization is joining us at the community table in row one.
To support our Indigenous community, we’ve created a limited amount of reusable tote bags with our beautiful Indigenous-inspired logo, designed by local artist Conrad Plews. We’re donating $5 from the sale of each bag to the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society and Native Counselling Services of Alberta.
We hope to see you next Saturday for this very special Market Day!
