Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the southeast corner of the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market (Gateway Blvd side). Yes, you can park in the loading lane for up to 30 minutes!

Why The Side Door?
For more than 40 years, the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market has been a weekend destination for Edmonton’s best local food, makers, and community spirit. But many shoppers have asked for more ways to support vendors beyond Saturday and Sunday.
The Side Door was created to meet that need, offering a convenient, welcoming space where customers can discover vendor products Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Whether you’re stopping by for your weekly essentials, a locally made gift, or a coffee on the go, The Side Door brings the essence of the market into your daily routine.

Tucked just off the market’s southeast corner, The Side Door is a small-but-mighty corner store filled with market staples, small-batch favourites, and one-of-a-kind local finds. It also features grab-and-go items like coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods! Perfect for busy weekdays or a quick lunch stop.

As Market Manager Corinne Olson explains, “We created The Side Door to be a bright, welcoming stop-in — friendly, familiar, and full of local treasures. It’s a quick, easy way to bring a bit of the market into your daily routine — whether you’re picking up essentials, grabbing a coffee, or just craving something local.”
