Support a New Local Shelter at the Neighbour’s Gratitude Dinner

Oct 1, 2019 | News & Events

Can you imagine facing -30ºC weather without the warmth and security of your home? Every winter in Alberta, people suffer from exposure to the cold – especially homeless men, women, and children. The Neigbour’s Gratitude Fundraiser Dinner is a special event planned to support a much-needed emergency winter shelter in south Edmonton.

The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is proud to partner with the Mustard Seed Neighbour Centre and MEAT Authenic Southern BBQ for this charitable event. This special gathering will be held at the market October 9th with delicious food prepared by MEAT and served by volunteers who have experienced poverty and homelessness firsthand.

The goal of this event is to help increase awareness about homelessness in Edmonton, foster community support, and raise funds via ticket sales and silent auction.

When: October 9, 2019 @ 6:00pm / 7:30pm
Where: Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market, 10310 83rd Ave NW Edmonton
Tickets: $30 each or table of six $150
