MARU Ukrainian Food
It all started in 1994, when 2 farm women who wanted a "little side job" began making Ukrainian food out of our kitchens. We called it MARU for MArgret and RUth. We grew every year. Since 2000, Ruth is the sole owner but the name remains.
In 2001 the home-based kitchen got a new home in a seperate commercial building at our farm. We are now a government approved Food Processor. The bulk of our products are sold at the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market.
We are proud of our business and our success, but most of all....we value our customers a great deal. It's a fact: NO customers ....NO Business!!
We try to develop new varieties and sell them on a trial basis at the market. If our customers like it, we add them to the existing ones.
